We create products that help users enjoy sorting through a large range of content or products, to select what’s right for them. And by helping people find what they’re looking for, we create opportunities for advertisers to reach the people who most value what they have to offer. We believe there are many categories where this approach will work, but we’ve started by focusing on three: showfinder, foodfinder and travelfinder.
Showfinder
We’ve never had so much content available, but found it so hard to find something to watch. Surveys suggest that many of us spend 10-20 minutes before we choose, and 20% of us give up before we do. Showfinder solves this problem, providing an easy to navigate selection of video trailers promoting new, recent and archive shows, interspersed with ads that are indistinguishable from the rest of the content. Users can swipe through the content (Yes, No, Maybe, or Seen), curating their own playlists of shows that they can revisit and click straight through to watch. Foodfinder
There are thousands of recipe videos available online, but finding the right one can be a challenge. Foodfinder provides an intuitive way to flick through recipes and tag the ones you’re interested in, or select the one you’ll cook today. Some of these recipes will be from publishers, offering new ways to curate and engage their users. Others will be ads from brands who get to advertise where people are swiping through the content: Yes, No, Maybe, Seen. Findvertising on Foodfinder: because people want to cook not search. Travelfinder
Planning a trip can involve hours of trawling through videos and recommendations. But imagine if all of that content was curated into a swipeable catalogue that covered destinations, hotels and excursions. You can swipe through a huge range of content from travel operators, publishers and advertisers, selecting and sharing the most interesting and discarding the rest.
